- 2 granny smith apples, cored and cut into slices
- 3 tbsp. normal white sugar
- 2 dry chilies, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- A couple of cinnamon sticks
- Salt to season
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
Instructions
- Heat some oil in a pot.
- Add the mustard seeds, cinnamon sticks, and chopped-up dry chili.
- As soon as the mustard seeds start to pop, add the onions and salt and saute until transparent.
- Add the apple slices and sugar, and mix well so that everything is nicely coated.
- Cover and allow to cook until the apple is soft.
- You can add a little water if the food starts to stick.
