Description

Ingredients

  • 2 granny smith apples, cored and cut into slices
  • 3 tbsp. normal white sugar
  • 2 dry chilies, chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • A couple of cinnamon sticks
  • Salt to season
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat some oil in a pot.
  2. Add the mustard seeds, cinnamon sticks, and chopped-up dry chili.
  3. As soon as the mustard seeds start to pop, add the onions and salt and saute until transparent.
  4. Add the apple slices and sugar, and mix well so that everything is nicely coated.
  5. Cover and allow to cook until the apple is soft.
  6. You can add a little water if the food starts to stick.
