Description
This dish is smoky, cheesy, and just the right amount of savory. The bacon and Parmesan do a happy dance with the tender artichokes and earthy kale. Perfect as a side or a main, your call.
Ingredients
- 5 slices of bacon, chopped into bite-sized pieces
- Half a medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic (the pre-minced stuff works great!)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of Kraft Italian salad dressing
- 1 can of artichokes, drained and halved
- 1 bunch of black kale, stems removed and leaves torn into bite-sized pieces
- Shaved Parmesan cheese (be generous!)
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Toss in the bacon, onion, garlic, and Italian dressing.
- Add a drizzle of olive oil.
- Let everything sizzle together for about 5 minutes, until the bacon’s crispy and the onions are golden.
- Stir in those artichokes and kale.
- Turn the heat down to medium, place a lid on the skillet, and let it all cook for about 5 minutes.
- The kale should be wilted and tender but still vibrant.
- Take off the lid, sprinkle a hearty handful of Parmesan on top, and give it a moment to melt into the mix.
- Serve it up warm with Baked Glazed Teriyaki Chicken Wings
