Beer Battered Hake Fish

An awesome and delicious Beer Battered Hake Fish and chips for lunch or dinner

Ingredients:

  • 100g cake flour.
  • 55g cornflour
  • 1 tsp baking powder.
  • 1 tsp salt.
  • 300ml beer.
  • 7 pieces of Hake fillets.

Method

In a bowl, mix the cake flour, cornflour, salt, and baking powder together.

Add the beer and whisk until a nice thick smooth batter is formed.

Pat the fillets dry with a hand towel.

Dip into the batter and pop into the oil to deep fry until golden brown.

Remove from the oil once the fish is golden brown on both sides.

Sprinkle with coarse sea salt and serve with lemon wedges.
