Description

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup Basmati rice
  • 23 Tbs Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Green Cardamom
  • 45 Cloves
  • 12 Bayleaf
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 12 Tbs Clarified Butter (ghee)
  • 1 tsp Cream (Optional)
  • 67 Cashew nuts
  • 78 Raisins
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder (haldi)

You can adjust the sugar & Salt according to your taste.


Instructions

  1. First of all, take a vessel and add rice with 2.5 cups of water & turmeric powder.
  2. Mix well and cook till 60% on low-medium flame.
  3. Now drain the rice and keep it aside.
  4. Take 1/2 tsp of ghee in a pan and Roast the dry fruits.
  5. After roasting take it out in a bowl and keep it aside.
  6. Now take the remaining ghee in that pan and add Cardamom, cumin seeds, bay leaf & Cloves, and stir for 30 seconds.
  7. Now add 1/4 cup of water and then add sugar. Mix properly
  8. Now add rice, dry fruits & salt and stir.
  9. Add little water if needed.
  10. Cover the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame.
  11. Stir and continue during the cooking process.
  12. After that switch off the gas and add cream and mix properly.
  13. Garnish with Roasted Nuts & basil leaves.
  14. Served hot.
  15. Enjoy the taste.
