Chicken
- 1 kg chicken fillets, cut into strips
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 fresh chillies, chopped (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp lemon pepper
- 1 tsp chicken spice
- 1 tsp BBQ spice
- 2 tbsp oil
Sauce
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 3 rainbow peppers, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce (ketchup works fine)
- 1 tbsp mustard sauce
- 1 tbsp chili sauce or garlic peri-peri sauce
Serving
- 6 wraps or tortillas, warmed
- Fresh lettuce leaves
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 1/2 cucumber, sliced
- Optional: grated cheese, sour cream, or avocado slices
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pan.
- Add chicken, ginger garlic paste, chillies, and all the spices.
- Stir fry on medium-high heat for about 8–10 minutes until chicken is cooked through and lightly golden.
- In a separate pan, sauté onions and peppers until softened and most of the water has cooked out (about 8–10 minutes).
- Stir in tomato sauce, mustard, and chili or peri-peri sauce.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes until heated through.
- Add the chicken to the sauce and stir well so it’s nicely coated.
- Warm your wraps.
- Add lettuce, tomato, and cucumber.
- Spoon over the chicken mixture.
- Top with cheese, sour cream, or avocado if you like.
- Roll up and serve warm.
