Chinese Style Sweet and Sour Prawns with Gravy

Lovely Sweet and Sour Prawns with Gravy garnished with roasted sesame seeds and made with ingredients available at home.

Ingredients:

  • 20 prawns
  • 4 tsp of sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tsp of tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp Chinese Rice Vinegar / or regular vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Spring onions
  • Roasted white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp onion
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp Corn starch
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
Chinese Style Sweet and Sour Prawns with gravy

Method:

  1. Marinated prawns for half an hour in onion, garlic, cornflour, vegetable oil paste (All 1 teaspoon each and mix together).
  2. In a large pan add oil and heat
  3. Saute 1 tsp onion pieces,
  4. Add 4 teaspoons of sweet chili sauce,
  5. Also, add 2 teaspoons of tomato sauce,
  6. Add 2 teaspoons of Chinese rice vinegar/standard vinegar.
  7. Salt as per taste, little warm water add to it.
  8. Now cook for a few minutes with prawns,
  9. Serve with spring onions & roasted white sesame seeds.
