Description

These Choc Chip Pecan Cookies bring everyone to the table, bake a batch or two, and see for yourself.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 125g melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans


Instructions

  1. Mix the sugars and melted butter until creamy (electric beaters work great!).
  2. Add the egg and vanilla, then beat until smooth.
  3. Fold in the sifted flour, salt, and baking soda gently.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans until combined.
  5. Shape into small dough balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 180C/350F for 15 minutes.
  7. Want extra flair? Dip cooled cookies in melted chocolate.
