Description
A plate of deliciousness, chocolate chip cookies. Jennifer added pecans, Brazil nuts, chopped dates, oats, and chopped Beacon chocolate to the dough.

- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup castor sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 slab chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans and walnuts/Brazil
- Nuts
- 2 Tbsp. chopped dates
- 2 Tbsp. oats, optional
Instructions
- Place both sugars in a bowl
- Pour melted butter over
- Mix well
- Add vanilla and eggs
- Mix well
- Then add sifted flour, bicarbonate of soda, and salt
- Gently mix it
- Add nuts, dates, chocolate, and oats
- Mix into a nice soft dough
- If it’s a little sticky, add a little more flour
- Using a tablespoon, scoop up the dough, and place it on a baking sheet, do not flatten.
- Bake at 180C degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until it’s golden brown.
- Remove from oven, and allow to cool.
