My family recipe for scones has been passed down from my great-grandmother.

- 4 cups self-raising flour or 4 cups flour and 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 300ml cream
- 400ml milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220 deg C (this is essential)
- Using a knife, mix the cream and milk into the flour until you form a dough.
- Gently knead on a floured board until smooth
- Cut with a scone cutter or a flour-dipped glass.
- Place on a tray so they touch each other (it helps them rise straight up).
- Brush with a little milk and cook for about 15 mins.
- Serve with jam and cream.
- **no butter, no sugar, no egg, and if your cream is old, the scones are better.
- **24 – 30 scones. with a 6cm round cutter
