Description

My family recipe for scones has been passed down from my great-grandmother.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 220 deg C (this is essential)
  2. Using a knife, mix the cream and milk into the flour until you form a dough.
  3. Gently knead on a floured board until smooth
  4. Cut with a scone cutter or a flour-dipped glass.
  5. Place on a tray so they touch each other (it helps them rise straight up).
  6. Brush with a little milk and cook for about 15 mins.
  7. Serve with jam and cream.
  8. **no butter, no sugar, no egg, and if your cream is old, the scones are better.
  9. **24 – 30 scones. with a 6cm round cutter
