- 1 liter full cream milk
- 200ml Maizena
- 30ml Golden Syrup
- 125 ml treacle brown sugar
- 125g butter
- 7 ml fine cardamon (Elachi)
- Poppy seeds
- Flaked almonds
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a saucepan and stir with a whisk.
- Heat gradually until the mixture thickens like custard
- Grease the Pyrex dish with spray and cook before pouring the mixture into the dish
- Sprinkle with poppy seeds and, almonds
- Bake, at 180°C/ 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes
- Allow cooling
- Cut into diamond shape blocks or square blocks
