- 3 1/2 cups desiccated coconut
- 1 tin sweetened condensed milk
- 3 cups sieved icing sugar/confectioners sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup NestlΓ© cocoa powder **
- 1 tbsp milk**
Instructions
- Line a 24 cm baking tin with parchment paper and grease with a little butter.
- Add all ingredients in a bowl except the last two listed, (**cocoa and milk).
- Stir well until all is incorporated.
- Halve the mixture and spread it out flat and evenly in the tin using your hands.
- Add cocoa and milk to the other half of the mixture.
- Stir well to combine then layer this over the white layer in the tin.
- You can also use a few drops of food coloring of your choice for the second layer.
- Refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours or overnight.
- Once set, cut into bite-sized squares using a knife dipped in boiling water and wiped dry.
- 36 squares depending on the size.
