- 1 chicken, cut into pieces
- Chicken spice, to taste
- Lemon and herb spice, to taste
- Lemon thyme, a few sprigs
- 1 cup mango juice
- 1/2 cup chutney
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 20 ml balsamic vinegar
- 20 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 20 ml soy sauce
- 40 ml honey
- 40 ml lemon juice
- 40 ml brown onion soup mix powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Sprinkle chicken spice and lemon, and herb spice all over the 1 chicken cut into pieces in a baking dish.
- Add in lemon thyme for that subtle citrusy flavor.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup mango juice, ½ cup chutney, ½ cup tomato sauce, 20 ml balsamic vinegar, 20 ml Worcestershire sauce, 20 ml soy sauce, 40 ml honey, 40 ml lemon juice, and 40 ml brown onion soup mix powder. Give it a good stir until well combined.
- Pour this sweet and tangy mixture evenly over your spiced chicken. Make sure every piece is coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, basting once or twice if you’re feeling fancy.
- Chicken should be golden brown, juicy, and tender.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Slice, serve, and enjoy all that sticky, flavorful goodness.
