Doughnut / Donut
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 1/2 tbsp. soft butter
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 6 cups flour
- 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon powder
- 3/4 tsp nutmeg
Cinnamon Coating
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp. cinnamon
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add milk, egg, and only 3 cups of flour. baking powder. salt. cinnamon and nutmeg and mix well with an electric mixture.
- Then mix in the additional 2½ to 3 cups flour to form a soft dough that can be rolled out and shaped into a doughnut/donut shape.
- Fry in medium oil until it has a nice golden brown.
- Let it cool and then roll in cinnamon sugar.
