Description

Dive into a world of rich flavors and discover the secrets to making the perfect Oxtail with Yellow Rice. 


Ingredients

  • 1.5kg oxtail, cut into pieces
  • 2 medium onions sliced
  • 1 Banana sliced
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 20ml Tomato Sauce
  • 20ml Chutney
  • 20ml Honey
  • 6ml Med curry powder
  • 4ml Salt
  • 1ml Pepper
  • 1 packet of brown onion soup mixed with 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Wash the meat and place onions, bananas, and bay leaves in the pot.
  2. Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over.
  3. Cook over low heat for about 2–3 hours (1 ½ hour in a pressure cooker) until meat is tender.
  4. Can add vegetables like potatoes, sweet potatoes, and carrots.

If you prefer, feel free to brown the meat and onions first and then proceed with the rest of the dish.

I made my oxtail from this recipe and it was delicious! I did add the banana. Furthermore, I also added a dash of sherry. Will be making it again, the family loved it.
