- 1 1/2 pd Giblets (cleaned & rinsed)
- 1 Bottle Nandos peri-peri Sauce
- 1 Large Onion (chopped)
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 3 Whole Cloves
- Salt to taste
- Oil
- 1/3 cup Cold Water (use as needed)
Instructions
- Clean the giblets thoroughly.
- Rinse, drain, and chop into pieces.
- Place the giblets into a pot, add in the cinnamon sticks, cloves, bay leaves and salt then pour in enough water to cover the giblets and allow it to boil till tender.
- Drain, remove the spices then rinse.
- In a pot, heat the oil and cook the onion until soft (no colour).
- Pour in the sauce and simmer for a few minutes, then add in the giblets and water, allow this to simmer further for a few minutes until thickened.
- Serve with a buttered roll/bread and enjoy!!
- *Add more water if you desire a thinner sauce*
