Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 500-750g pork loin back ribs (or as big as needed)
- 1/2 large onion, sliced into rings
- 2-3 tbsp minced garlic (don’t be shy, use lots!)
- 1 packet Knorr Brown Onion Soup
- 2 tsp Virgin Olive Oil (VOO)
- Spices of your choice (I usually do salt, black pepper, paprika, maybe a hint of smoked paprika)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Drizzle ±2 tsp vegetable oil in the bottom of a baking pan.
- Rub your 500–750g (or as big as needed) pork loin back ribs with your chosen spices.
- Spread 2–3 tbsp minced garlic generously over the pork. You want garlic in every bite.
- Lay ½ a large onion, sliced into rings, on top of the pork.
- Cover the pan loosely with foil and bake for about 2+ hours, until the meat is super tender and nearly falling off the bone.
- While that’s baking, mix the packet of Knorr Brown Onion Soup with some water in a bowl, whisk until smooth.
- Pour the soup mixture over the cooked ribs, return to the oven, and cook for another 10–15 minutes.
- Turn the broiler on for 5–7 minutes at the end to get a nice, caramelized color and a slightly thickened sauce. Keep an eye so it doesn’t burn!
- Serve warm with creamy mashed potatoes and steamed Bok choy for a balanced, comforting meal.
