Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 1 potato (peeled and grated)
- 1/2 an onion (grated)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of plain flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 cup of shredded cheese
Instructions
- Grab a mixing bowl and toss in the grated potato, onion, and egg. Mix it up!
- Slowly add the flour, stirring until everything sticks together in a batter-like consistency.
- Sprinkle in the cheese, salt, and pepper. Taste as you go, because life’s too short for under-seasoned fritters.
- Heat a pan with enough oil to lightly coat the bottom. (Think crispy, not greasy.)
- Scoop a spoonful at a time of the mix into the pan, flattening it with the back of your spoon.
- Let them sizzle away until they’re golden and crispy on both sides.
