- 1 cup basmati rice
- salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- small red onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- Chillis
- green pepper
- red pepper
- 1/2 punnet mushrooms
- Spices: paprika, salt, black lemon pepper, Italian herbs and dried basil.
- Parsley
Instructions
- Start by cooking basmati rice in salted water as the package says.
- Once done, rinse the rice briefly and steam it for a few minutes to make it fluffy.
- Melt butter in a pan. Add chopped red onion, minced garlic, some chopped chillies, green and red peppers, and mushrooms.
- Cook everything until the veggies soften, and the flavors come together.
- Season with paprika, black lemon pepper, salt, Italian herbs, and dried basil to your taste.
- Mix the cooked vegetables into the steamed rice.
- Give it a good stir to spread the flavors evenly.
- Finish by sprinkling fresh parsley on top for a bright, fresh touch.
