  1. Start by cooking basmati rice in salted water as the package says.
  2. Once done, rinse the rice briefly and steam it for a few minutes to make it fluffy.
  3. Melt butter in a pan. Add chopped red onion, minced garlic, some chopped chillies, green and red peppers, and mushrooms.
  4. Cook everything until the veggies soften, and the flavors come together.
  5. Season with paprika, black lemon pepper, salt, Italian herbs, and dried basil to your taste.
  6. Mix the cooked vegetables into the steamed rice.
  7. Give it a good stir to spread the flavors evenly.
  8. Finish by sprinkling fresh parsley on top for a bright, fresh touch.
