  • 3 cups All purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp soft butter
  • 8 tbsp shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 8 tsp garlic butter

Instructions

In a bowl mix the warm milk, yeast, and sugar and leave it for 5 minutes to activate.

Add the four and salt and knead for about 8 minutes.

Once done add the butter and continue to knead until the butter is incorporated and the dough is soft.

Cover the bowl with cling wrap and leave to rest for an hour until it doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and roll it into a large ball and cut into 8 equal pieces.

Take each piece and roll out and at this point, butter the top of the dough with garlic butter and sprinkle with cheese.

Once done use your hands to shape it into a roll.

Brush with milk or egg wash and place the rolls on a greased baking tin.

Cover again with cling wrap and leave for a further 25 min to rise.

Remove the wrap and place it into a preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 180°C/350°F, until golden brown.

Take out of the oven and brush with butter and cover with a cloth and let it cool completely.

Enjoy
