Description
Sweet, spicy, smoky: BBQ prawns never tasted this good.
Ingredients
- ±1/4 cup Oil (any type of oil will do)
- ±1/4 cup lemon or even lime juice
- Give or take 4 crushed garlic gloves (fresh or bottled)
- ±3 tbsp. (37.5 ml) Maple Syrup, you can even use brown sugar.
- ±2 tbsp. (25 ml) soy sauce (be cautious as it is salty, not to overdo it)
- ±1 tbsp. (12.5 ml) Sweet Thai chili sauce, if you like a kick, then use Sriracha or anything you love.
- ±550g prawns, we used BC Spot Prawns, but any prawns will work
**All ingredients, totally just a guesstimate, this is a marinade, so it’s easy to just add a lot of yummy stuff together.
Instructions
- Mix and whisk together all the ingredients in a bowl.
- Place prawns in the sauce, baste them, and let them marinate for 30 minutes. Around the 15-minute mark, turn them over.
- Grill on the BBQ until pink and opaque, about 3 minutes per side, and keep brushing the remaining marinade with a brush when you turn them over on the BBQ.
- Serve immediately and enjoy with a green salad of your choice.
