Crumble Base:
- 1 cup flour (or 1 1/2 cups for larger pie plates)
- 1 cup desiccated coconut (or 1 1/2 cups)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 125 g butter (or 187 1/2 g for larger amounts)

Filling:
- 1 tin of pie apples
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2-3 tbsp sugar
- 2 mashed bananas (optional but adds great flavor)
- Cinnamon to taste

Instructions
- Rub the butter into the flour and sugar mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the coconut and mix well.
- Press half the mixture firmly into a pie dish to form the base, reserving the other half for the topping.
- Mash the pie apples, lemon juice, sugar, and bananas together until smooth.
- Add cinnamon to taste and mix thoroughly.
- Spread the apple and banana filling evenly over the prepared base.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top, ensuring full coverage.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the crumble for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crisp.
- Pair this warm dessert with custard, fresh cream, or even a scoop of ice cream for a decadent finish.
