Description

A no-fuss bake that keeps your snack stash full and your mornings easy.

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a big bowl, toss all the dry ingredients together.
  3. Add the oil, vinegar, and buttermilk.
  4. Stir it really well, until no dry patches are visible.
  5. Spoon the mix into greased baking pans, smooth the top, and bake for about 40 minutes. It should feel firm when pressed.
  6. Let it cool. Slice into thick bars.
  7. Pop the bars onto oven racks and dry them out on low heat until crisp.
  8. Place on oven racks and dry out at about 75C (coolest on my oven in 170F) for about 4 hours, until dry right through.

  9. Be sure to place a spoon in the door to keep it ajar and slightly open while drying.

Why You’ll Love These:

They’re crunchy, filling, and packed with good stuff like nuts, fruit, and oats. Perfect with a hot drink or for snacking on the go. Easy to make, hard to stop eating.
