  1. Hi Esme, I’ve linked up again I think your new blog looks great. I find it a great place to look at other bloggers of my age. I’m thankful for your initiative.

    • Hi Janet, You’re already leaving your comments on the SS post, so not sure if you also meant to leave comments on the links through InLinkz. Not sure if that’s possible, but will for sure look into it and keep you posted.

      • Thank you. I too am pleased to see your new site. It’s looking good. As for my query, I miss being able to say something directly to the blogger when I go through the SS LinkZ site. I too don’t know if it’s possible. Don’t spend too much time on it. Just thought I’d mention it. The old “plant a seed” idea.

        • Janet, Not sure if InLinkz have this functionality, but I will check it out for sure.
Thanks for the compliment on the site – still have some work to do but I am getting there, slowly but surely.

  2. Hi Esmé,

I hope the transfer to your new blog went well – a brave move to make! A couple of observations on the new site, which I hope are helpful:

Does the absence of a ‘follow by WordPress’ button means that you’ve moved away from that platform, as the only follow option I could see was via email – but I’m still getting notifications for your posts so it looks as though my previous follow via WordPress is still valid. Hopefully no one else is confused by that – your other followers are probably far more intelligent than me!

There doesn’t seem to be a ‘like’ button for your posts now. Is that another WordPress thing or will you be adding one? Consider this post ‘liked’ anyway!

Choosing ‘home’ from your menu gives the WordPress ‘this site is protected message.’ I guess you may want to look at that!

Many thanks for keeping the Senior Salon going. As I’ve said before it’s been a good place for me, and I’ll try to share a post there each week and do my little bit to help promote it.

Good luck with your new blog site!

    • Hi Clive, Thank you so much for your feedback and comment above. I am now self-hosted through SiteGround but as you have commented here, and as you did get my email, yes you have originally opted in to receive emails from me and you were pulled over from the old WP blog to here, so not to worry as you will still receive all email notifications and be a follower of this new EsmeSalon site.
As for the like button, it’s the very first one below the post. Please have a look again and let me know if you can see it.
I also noted the “home” and old site issue and working on that – thanks for also pointing it out.
Senior Salon will always be with me as long as possible.
Thanks for your kind words, following and contributions Clive.

  3. Hi Esme. I love the way I can discover new blogs through your facilitating Senior Salon. So, thank you for that. I also love being able to add a brief note when bloggers post their links on your FB group, SIPBs. I’m wondering if there’s a way to add a Comment feature here on Senior Salon?

You truly walk your Sharing, Inspiring, Promiting Blogs talk. And I am grateful. Best wishes with the change over.
