You need to try this Asian Styled Pork tonight, as I am sure you will love it and so will any family and friends that may drop in at your house.
Ingredients:
15 ml of honey
2 cloves minced garlic
15 ml grated ginger
15 ml dark soya sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce (my addition)
1 tsp 5 spice powder (my addition)
125 ml peanut butter
1.5 kg pork loin, rind off, rolled
1,25 ml sesame oil
1 BBQ cook in a bag
60 ml toasted cashew nuts (I didn’t have)
3 sliced spring onions
3 cups cooked rice
Method:
Place pork in a roasting bag.
In a small bowl mix together the seasoning, 5 spice powder (*tomatoes), peanut butter, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and honey till well combined.
Spoon the sauce into the roasting bag and rub into the pork.
Close bag and tie with the tie.
Place bag in the cool oven
Bake at 180 °C for 1½ hour or until cooked on the lowest shelf and the grill is off at ALL times.
Leave enough room for the bag to expand.
Remove from bag and rest for 10 minutes before carving/serving.
Spoon rice onto a platter, add sliced pork and arrange on top of the pork.
Pour sauce over the pork.
Sprinkle cashew nuts and spring onions over.
