Bananas in Pajamas Cake, a Birthday cake for a one-year-old which they will absolutely love and adore.

Cake Ingredients:

4 eggs
250gm margarine or soft butter
1 1/3 cup milk
3 cups self-raising flour
1/2 cup dutch cocoa (if not chocolate add 1/2 cup of self-raising flour)
For coloured/marble effect.
Divide mixture into bowls evenly, add the desired colour and mix well.
Pour coloured mixture into greased or lined tin and using a knife/skewer make swirls through all the colours from one end of the tin to the other.

Method:

Grease or line a 25-30cm cake pan
Preheat oven to 180°c
Bake for 30 minutes or until the cake springs back when lightly pressed in the centre.
Let rest for 10 minutes in the pan.
Place on a wire rack to cool.

Icing Ingredients:

125gm softened butter
3 cups icing sugar or until your desired consistency.
Add colouring if desired.
Ice cooled cake, and decorate.
I added the fondant characters and blue and yellow fondant cut out stars that were made when the characters were being done.
Enjoy! It was a hit.
Recipe of cake and icing thanks to Renee 😊. Thanks, Mom xx
The fondant was coloured and made by me, using a picture as a guide.
