Wordless Wednesday – Allow your photo(s) to tell the story

The following images are courtesy of and shared with permission of Basil Boer, a photography friend, from Somerset West, Cape Province, South Africa.

A male Xylocopa caffra is a male carpenter bee that is uniform and lacks a stinger. Males are typically yellowish-green to greenish-yellow and have a yellow or white face. They are often seen hovering near nests to guard them from other flying insects, which they do aggressively but without malice, as they are incapable of stinging

  1. Beautiful bees. I love all things bees. We planted lots of wonderful plants that bees love this year. It’s heartwarming to see so many enjoy the plants.

Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. Thank you for all you do, Esme. ♥
