Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8×8-inch Pyrex dish or use a smaller one if you’re craving thicker slices.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, salt, black pepper, cayenne, and Italian seasoning. Make sure it’s all nice and smooth.
  3. Spread the bacon bits evenly across your greased dish. Scatter the diced chicken over the bacon. Pour the egg mixture on top, giving everything a light stir to let the flavors mingle.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top. Finish with a dash of dried chives for that extra pop of flavor.
  5. Pop the dish in your preheated oven. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden and bubbly.

How is frittata different from an omelet?

A frittata is essentially a custard filled with any vegetables, herbs, cheese, meat, and even pasta of your choosing, that is then cooked in a frying pan or a baking dish in the oven.   3. I do love a baked frittata; so easy and delicious to make. I don’t eat bacon these days, but a bit of added chicken would be great. In fact i made one the other day but with some smoked salmon.
