Description

Fluffy chocolate pancakes with Nutella, fresh berries, and almonds. Easy, decadent breakfast or dessert everyone will love!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar (or honey)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 - 2 cups milk (adjust for consistency)
  • Fruit / nuts / Nutella / chocolate chips for filling and topping

Instructions

  1. Sift 2 cups of flour, 2 tsp baking powder, ½ cup sugar (or honey), ½ cup cocoa powder, and ½ tsp cinnamon together into a large mixing bowl. This keeps everything light and airy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk 1 egg into 1½ cups milk.
  3. Check the consistency; if it feels too thick (it should flow like heavy cream), add more milk slowly, up to ½ cup extra.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients.
  5. Whisk everything together until the batter is smooth and pourable, but not too runny.
  6. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  7. Pour batter in desired portions (¼ cup each works well).
  8. Cook until bubbles appear on top, edges slightly dry, about 2–3 minutes, then flip and cook another 1–2 minutes.
  9. Stack pancakes and layer with your choice of filling: Nutella, almond butter, chocolate chips, or fresh fruit.
  10. Top with a drizzle of Nutella, berries (raspberries, blueberries), flaked almonds, and a light dusting of powdered sugar if you like.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!
