These Churros with Chocolate Sauce are lightly fried, then rolled in cinnamon sugar. A rich chocolate dipping sauce completes the dish!
A churro is a type of fried dough from Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. They are also found in Latin American cuisine and the cuisine of the Philippines and in other areas that have received immigration from Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries, especially in the Southwestern United States and France.
Ingredients:
50g butter
250ml water
Pinch salt
200 ml flour
4 eggs
Method
Put butter water and salt in a pot and bring to a boil
Add flour and cook till the mixture leaves the side of the pan
Allow to cool for 5 mins, beat in egg one at a time, mixing well
Add mixture into piping bagpipe and pipe the churro
Fry in hot oil till light brown
Roll in cinnamon and sugar whilst hot
Enjoy with chocolate sauce
1 cup fresh cream with 1 cup chocolate
Heat cream and add chocolate
Whisk well can add more Chocolate for a thicker sauce or more cream for a thinner sauce
