Feriel Chicken or Prawns Chow Mein

Feriel Chicken or Prawns Chow Mein
Chow mein are stir-fried noodles, the name being the romanization of the Taishanese chāu-mèing. The dish is popular throughout the Chinese diaspora and appears on the menus of Chinese restaurants. It is particularly popular in the Caribbean, Pakistan, the United States, Britain, Nepal, and India.
Ingredients:
2 cups spaghetti or chinese noodles (boiled in salted water)
½ kg chicken fillet or prawns cut into strips
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp aromat
¼ tsp black pepper
3 tab Lemon juice
1 tab soy sauce
1 tsp garlic flakes
Crushed deseeded green chillies to taste
Veggies:
2 carrots cut into strips
½ red pepper cut into strips
½ green pepper cut into strips
½ yellow pepper cut into strips
Baby corn (optional)
½ a punnet of mushroom sliced (optional)
1 medium onion sliced
*cut and keep aside
1 tablespn soy sauce
½ cup water
Salt to taste
1 tablespn cornflour
*combine together. Keep aside
Method:
*Heat some oil in a wok or thick based deep pan.
Add chicken or prawns with aromat, pepper, garlic, chillies, lemon juice, garlic flakes, and soy and fry till done.
Now add the veggies and stirfry for about 2 minutes.
Add the cooked noodles with the cornflour liquid, toss well together and heat through for another minute.
Add chopped spring onions and serve. Enjoy
