Feriel's Savoury Steak Mince Macaroni and Cheese

An easy and tasty evening meal

Boil 500g good quality macaroni in salt water with until oil. Drain and set aside.
Meat sauce:
400 g steak mince
1 onion
crushed garlic
1 cup mixed veg
chopped mushrooms
small packet tomato paste
salt and black grounded pepper
1 teaspoon Robertson Spice for Mince
Ina Paarmaan Green Onion seasoning
Braise onion in oil until soft.
Add all other ingredients and cook until veggies are soft.
Set aside
White sauce:
1-liter milk
3 heaped tablespoons cake flour or maizena
3 bay leaves
salt and black grounded pepper
melt butter and add flour or maizena.
Use whisks and add milk gradually until it thickens.
Add bay leaves and seasoning.
Grated Edam cheese and Italian herbs.
Greased an oven proof dish and add white sauce add half macaroni and add all the meat sauce on top.
Layer with macaroni and add the last sauce on top.
Add grated cheese and sprinkle with Italian herbs.
Bake at 180C for 25 min until golden brown .
