On the menu tonight, Hungarian Goulash with Spaetzle and cucumber salad. Hope you enjoy! 😊😊
Ingredients:
1 cup plain flour
1/2 tsp salt
Pinch of nutmeg
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk (2%)
Method:
Blend all ingredients in a bowl with a wooden spoon.
Mixture will be quite runny.
Place a large pot filled with water on the stove, lightly salt & bring to the boil.
Place dough mixture into a colander and press the dough through the colander with a wooden spoon into the pot to form little squiggles.
Do in batches. Boil for 2 mins.
Remove with a slotted spoon to a bowl.
Continue until all dough is finished.
Heat a frying pan, add 2 tbsp garlic and herb butter and lightly saute the spaetzle.
Serve immediately with Hungarian Goulash. Serves 3.
