Gail’s Weekend spoils for my family from my kitchen 💓💓
Preheat oven to 220°C (200°C fan assist) line baking tray with parchment paper
Ingredients:
500 g Sausage meat (beef, chicken or pork) removed from casings
2 cloves garlic crushed
1 medium onion finely chopped
A good handful chopped parsley
1 1/2 tbsp tomato sauce
1/4 tsp dried thyme
Salt and black pepper
400 g Puff Pastry thawed
1 egg lightly beaten with 1 tbsp milk for egg washing
Sesame seeds (optional)
Method:
In a bowl mix together all ingredients well.
Unroll pastry, cut horizontally into half.
Leaving a 1cm border, place half sausage filling on the long side of pastry.
Shape into a log.
Brush the opposite long side of pastry with egg wash then roll up your roll seam side down.
Repeat with the second half of pastry and filling.
Egg wash the tops sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
Cut into 6 to 8 pieces.
Place on baking tray 2 cm apart and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
Serve with sweet chilli sauce.
