Description

For a festive treat, try Gingerbread Cookies and let the kids decorate them!


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp bicarb of soda
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter, sugar, and honey.
  2. Add egg and vanilla, and mix well.
  3. Sift in dry ingredients.
  4. Make it into a soft dough.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
  6. Cut into shapes.
  7. Place on baking sheets.
  8. Bake at 180C / 350F for 8 to 10 minutes.
