The most Perfect Home-tried Gingernut Cookies for a Teatime Treat
Home-tried Gingernut Cookies
Ingredients
56g butter
85g golden syrup
113g self-raising flour
2 tsp ginger powder
1/2 tsp mixed spice
1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda
I Tbspn sugar
Method:
Preheat oven to 160’C(fan oven).
Line tray with greaseproof paper.
Melt butter and golden syrup.
Allow cooling.
Sift dry ingredients and add syrup mixture to form a soft slightly sticky dough.
Roll walnut-sized pieces of dough into balls and flatten.
Space dough out as these will spread.
Bake for 8-10 minutes.
Cool
