Not sure if you use AI or not, but this is just an example should you be interested. AI on Publer is only available via the paid version, and as you can see it automatically added some #hashtags. When you click on the Hashtag button you can select and add any others listed which you prefer.

Using AI to create content is NOT against Google’s guidelines. Not enough people are talking about this! Google has given us the green light to go and use AI to create content for our sites. Full stop.

So unless you were just 100% against AI content for whatever reason. It’s probably a good idea to get familiar with using these tools. Google says it’s ok. And your competitors are using them.

Now …

Does that mean that Google will just rank mass-generated AI content no matter what? In their guidance, they say no. They still want AI content to be “helpful” and to demonstrate qualities of E-E-A-A-T.

That’s the official line.

At the same time, We all know Google’s algorithm isn’t perfect. And I’ve seen plenty of sites absolutely crushing it with mass-generated AI content right now. For experimentation purposes, I see nothing wrong with that.

High-Quality, Human Content

In the other corner, we have high-quality, human-only content. This is a perfectly fine and smart approach as well. A lot of folks work on only one site, and that site is a good source of income. If things are going really well without using AI content, then why risk it?

Also:

I do believe, when the dust settles on all this, that high-quality human content will win out in the end with Google.

First person experience. First person expertise. Actually doing—and documenting—the thing you’re writing about. But, is there room for a middle ground here?

AI-Assisted, Human-Led Content

Here’s how I’ve been using AI on my grilling site. First, I will only write about topics I know well. That comes from my first-hand experience in this niche.

For “informational type” queries, I will use Koala to fire up a rough draft. Here’s an example of a keyword that I went after recently:

hamburger temperature guide

I just checked on desktop in Incognito, and I’m currently ranking #3 in Google for this keyword. On a DR 2 domain. And this is not a low-competition keyword (My domain is grillfrenzy . com if you want to see the result).

Now: The entire first draft of that article was written by Koala. But—and here’s where things get important: I didn’t just publish the article straight away to my site. No, I heavily edited the piece and put it in my own voice. I added my own custom photos. I added my own experience. It probably took me 45 minutes.

But it sure as heck beats just staring at a blank screen! And it only cost me $2 bucks!
