Ingredients
2 kg fish of your choice (with less bones) marinate with a little lemon juice, salt and aromat and keep aside
Place the below ingredients into a dish
1kg tomatoes liquidized
1 Tin 400g peeled tomatoes
1 Tin 400g tomato puree
Add to the tomatoes:
1 tbls salt
2 tbls kashmiri chilli powder
2 tbls turmeric powder
2 tbls dhania jeera powder
2 tbls jeero powder
2 tbls gorimas spice mix
4 tbls ginger garlic paste
1 cup fresh cream
3 tbls sugar
2 cups peas
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 1/2 cups sour milk / maas
6 green chillies
4 handful fried onions
Cinnamon stick
Bay leaves
Elachie
1/2 tsp zafron essence
4 cups basmathi rice precooked till half done
6 potatoes cut and fried
1 cup oil
125 g butter
Method:
Heat the oil and butter in a pot.
Add the tomato mixture and cook till water is almost dry.
Layer the fried potatoes, fish and the boiled rice.
Allow to steam in oven 180C for 1 hour.
