Description
Pizza always feels like a hug in food form, but it’s hard to enjoy it when you’re watching your carbs. That’s where the Keto Broccoli Pizza with Pesto Sauce comes in! It’s comforting, delicious, and guilt-free, so you can indulge without worry.
Ingredients
- 1 small Egg (38 g)
- 1 pinch of Salt
- 3 medium sliced (14 g) Olives
- 1/2 tbsp (8 g) Pesto Sauce
- 1 handful Spinach (10 g)
- 1/2 small Tomato, sliced (45 g)
- 1/2 cup chopped Broccoli (70 g) (finely chopped or grated)
- 1/3 cup grated Cheddar Cheese (35 g)
- 1 tsp Pine Nuts (3 g)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F/200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Place the broccoli in a food processor and pulse until it’s finely chopped or resembles rice-sized bits.
- Microwave the processed broccoli on high for 2–3 minutes, or until soft. Let it cool for 2 minutes, then transfer it onto a clean kitchen towel. Once cool enough to handle, wrap the towel around the broccoli and twist the ends tightly to squeeze out excess liquid. If needed, use a second towel to help absorb the moisture.
- In a large bowl, mix the broccoli, egg, grated cheese, and salt. Stir well to combine until you get a dough-like mixture.
- Pour the mixture onto the lined baking sheet and shape it into a pizza crust. Press it down evenly to ensure the base firms up while baking.
- Bake the crust for 10–12 minutes, or until lightly golden and firm to the touch.
- Remove from the oven and spread a layer of pesto sauce over the crust. Add sliced tomatoes, olives, and spinach. Sprinkle with pine nuts.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 10–12 minutes, until the toppings are cooked, and the cheese is melted.
- Let the pizza cool for 2–3 minutes before cutting. Slice, serve, and enjoy!

Thank you Joanne, they were very nice, love it and especially as it’s Keto. I need to make them again.
MMMmmm, the pesto! I’d love to try this. Thank you for sharing this post with us at the Will Blog for Comments #63 linkup, Esme! We hope to see you next week, too, at #64. Have a great week!
Love that pesto, we always have a bottle handy. Enjoy it
I’ve seen keto pizza made with a cauliflower crust, but broccoli would be an interesting variation. I sometimes grill large slices of eggplant and use that as an indivisual pizza base. Very healthy!
Hi there Pat. Yes, I have to admit the broccoli originally did sound odd, but once I made it, I am hooked. Hope you try it.
Yum. THat sounds interesting! I might give that a go for a cold wintery lunch!
Hope you will enjoy the keto pizza, Lydia. I love it and intend to get fully on keto in a week once my month-long leave. It’s impossible to do Keto with visitors here, so I will make this one soon again.
