Background & Origin
Zucchini noodles, or “zoodles,” have been popularized by the low-carb and keto movements as a pasta alternative. Turning vegetables into noodle-like strands isn’t new, but the rise of ketogenic diets has brought zoodles into the spotlight. Zucchini, with its neutral flavor and adaptability, has long been a kitchen favorite. Combine that with cheddar cheese, and you get a rich, creamy, and satisfying dish that aligns perfectly with keto’s high-fat, low-carb goals.
