I would like to take this opportunity to thank Crystal over @ CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE for nominating me for the Liebster Award 2018 and thinking of me as being “Liebster ” i.e. sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.

What is your favorite pet and/or animal?
Our Border Collie

What is your job, and why do you like it or dislike it so much?
I am an Office Manager, for a Medical Travel Insurance Company.
It’s a challenging and stimulating environment.

What is your favorite sport and why?

At present not actively participating in any sport, but love watching ice hockey as it’s a fast past active sport.

Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? If so what were they?
I do not make New Year’s resolutions, as my personal goal in life is to live the best I can day by day.

What did you like most about 2017?
I was fortunate to travel abroad to visit my family in South Africa early in 2017 and in November 2017 be surprised by my sister coming all the way from South Africa to Canada for my birthday and visiting for a week, and all these arrangements were made without my knowledge.  On the evening of my birthday celebration, my husband made a speech and said that he has a surprise and at that point, my sister walked in and WOW, what a surprise of a lifetime.

What did you like least about 2017?
I am unable to answer as life is good, and I am unable to complain about my life. 

What is your hobby besides blogging?
If an when I have time (not often) I love to make gift cards, either using our own pictures taken over the years or pin-pricking cards and then stitching it with intricate and beautiful images.

What did you like most about Christmas and New Year?
Spending quality time and being with our own children, their spouses, and our four grandchildren.

What is your blog about?
I am a foodie and share only home-made tried and tested recipes from around the globe.

What would you like to share about yourself to introduce yourself to the readers?
Read my About The Recipe Hunter page and hopefully, you will get to know me a bit better.

How did you create the name of your blog?
As I love to share my passion to cook, bake and experiment in the kitchen, and this has to do with recipes, it was obvious to me that the name had to do with Recipes, and as I am always looking, reading and ‘devouring’ (no pun intended) any book or magazine for new and interesting recipes, the name The Recipe Hunter came about.   This is my way of relaxing after a long and hard week in the office, and if you wish you can call it my ‘retail therapy’, so please join me on this day to day journey, which I just ♥
