Eggless Whole wheat Ragi Chocolate cake courtesy of cookwithsmileblog
When I was looking for a cake to try my hands on first time, I stumbled upon this Whole wheat Ragi chocolate cake. I decided to give a try as it is super healthy. I did adjusted a little with the ingredients. It turned to be super good. Kids loved it. You can have it as dessert or pack in snack box for kids.

Dark Chocolate Almond Cake courtesy of The Not so Creative Cook
The cake was so soft (I bet it’s because of the egg whites) and so moist.
The icing was so good.
The ground almonds on top gave a light crunchy bite.
FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE AND RASPBERRY TORTE courtesy of The Not so Creative Cook
A not-too-sweet flourless torte with intense chocolate flavor and amazing light, fudgy texture that will surely melt in your mouth.

Hot chocolate is one of my favorite drinks.
Double Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies courtesy of The Not so Creative Cook
Cookies made from a cake mix – so rich in chocolate flavor and soft on the inside. So delicious that you can’t get enough of it.

I know you cannot love something on the same spot with the same level. But when I have tasted this, I already knew I was cheating on my favorite cake – Mocha Cake. From then on, I asked myself if Mocha Cake can share its place with this new-found love of mine. Believe me, it’s so heavenly!!!! Words are not enough to describe how much I love this cake.
Cuba Libre or Morena Cake courtesy of koolkosherkitchen
As I was browsing through two-or-three-ingredient desserts – I love those! – I discovered a combination of cake mix and soda pop, with frosting on top.

The more chocolate, the better?
Brownie on a Date courtesy of koolkosherkitchen
This cool brownie is on a sweet date. It’s so totally cool; it has spurned the heat of being baked but had a hot desire to be refrigerated instead. The date is delightfully sweet, as is proper for medjool dates, otherwise known as Judean dates.

We don’t do Halloween, but we have our own monsters. One of them is world famous.

Instead of an afternoon coffee, try a walking mediation: Just walk slightly slower than your normal pace but not so slow that anyone would notice. What makes it a meditation is that you’re paying attention to the experience. As you move along, really see what’s in front of you and notice the sensation of your feet against the ground. Whenever you realize that your mind has strayed, in a friendly but firm way, return it to the experience. Integrating mind and body with a conscious walk lets you cultivate concentration, engage your muscles, bring fresh air into your lungs, and take your mind off your worries. Remember you don’t have to walk super-slow, like a zombie. But take your time. You’re not trying to go anywhere but inward – Cindy Lee
The Ultimate “melt-in-the-mouth” Fudgy Chocolate Brownies! courtesy of Afoodiehousewife
This recipe is so simple yet makes an amazing brownie. Pair it with chilled vanilla ice-cream and oodles of chocolate sauce, and you have a very fancy-looking, delicious dessert on your hands. It’s a perfect recipe for the dinner parties and extremely easy to make at a short notice.
Anniversary special: Romantic Chocolate and Strawberry “Hidden-Hearts” cake courtesy of Afoodiehousewife
I came across a picture of this cake many months ago on the internet and had decided there and then, that I would try this on our anniversary. The recipe seemed simple but loooong, still it seemed worth the effort for this particular occasion.
My sinful Orange and Dark chocolate Halloween cake! courtesy of Afoodiehousewife
I planned this cake for weeks before the Halloween day and I was so glad when it turned out exactly as I had envisioned it as! In my mind’s eye, I saw a vibrant orange and brown cake with some fun decorations and garnish.
Classic chocolate cake with strawberry syrup glaze courtesy of Afoodiehousewife
I enjoy baking cakes more than eating them. My hubby finds that hard to believe because I am a huge foodie and crazy for sweets but there is something about baking that definitely soothes me. It may be due to the fact that I whip my batter by hand instead of using the electric beater and it can be a good activity to channelize all your stress into the vigorous whipping hand exercise
CHOCOLATE KULFI WITH JAGGERY AS SWEETENER courtesy of PriyaPandian
Shall we celebrate this occasion with our authentic Indian dessert Kulfi ? Here is the recipe of Chocolate Kulfi which is a rich frozen dessert. Everyone loves this dessert for sure. Kulfi is little denser than the usual icecreams and can be easily made in home.
Rocky road courtesy of JO’S FOOD BITES
Decadent treat to have with a cup of coffee or tea. Really quick and easy to make. I love a recipe that doesn’t need scales. I always use the same basic ingredients – plain and milk chocolate, marshmallows and digestive biscuits ( gluten-free or wheat). To these I vary what I add. For this post I used dried apricots and cranberries. Sometimes I use pistachios and other dried fruits.
Of Hats, Pockets, Ears, and Hidden Messages courtesy of koolkosherkitchen
These pastries are called Hamantaschen. We can no more imagine the holiday of Purim without them than without the graggers – noisemakers gleefully shaken by children and adults alike to drown the name of the evil villain Haman.
My New Chocolate Cake Creation courtesy of My Favorite Recipes
It was a fun creation
Red Velvet Chocolate Sprinklers Crinkled Cookies courtesy of ANN GRUBBSNCRITTERS
There’s something about Red Velvet that I like. Perhaps it’s the intriguing dark, red colour. Perhaps it’s the subtle chocolatey taste, perhaps it’s that tinge of sourness. Heck! It’s everything about Red Velvet that I like. It’s hard not to like them and I find myself not being able to say no whenever I am offered with one.
Soft, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cornflakes Cookies courtesy of ANN GRUBBSNCRITTERS
There is no greater joy than spending a Sunday afternoon baking with the kids to:
– Keep the little imps occupied to minimise the damage they could do in tearing the house down
– Mesmerize them with the magic of butter, eggs, flour and licking up the resulting cookie dough
– Fill the house with the aroma of freshly baked cookies
Vegan Brownie with Coconut Whipped Cream courtesy of Spoon of Happiness
I recently had to make a vegan desert and I was actually very surprised of the outcome. This vegan brownie will surely win your attention (and heart)
Lastly, I give you a chocolate cupcake recipe I use frequently.
Es’s Vegan chocolate cupcakes courtesy of The Recipe Hunter
I do not use any other recipe when I need a VEGAN CHOCOLATE CAKE. This one is moist and incredibly easy and above all mega yummy!
I made the this recipe x3 and had 6 dozen cupcakes, which I made for our granddaughter’s 1st birthday party.
Es’s Triple Chocolate Mini Fillo Cups courtesy of The Recipe Hunter
This one happened by accident. I needed a treat to take to a get together, and then hunted in the baking cabinet and found these ingredients, so this was what happened. It was well received, and I also made it more than once thereafter. I winner and keeper.
Happy blogging my dear friends, keep up the good work.

Your posts are Amazing! I can literally smell the chocolate from the pictures and it’s making me so hungry! I love the idea of doing an ingredient by the alphabet every month! I really love your blog!
I have stopped the Alpha for a while and hopefully will continue again next year as I am running a Guest series for the moment. Let me know if you would be interested, and you can share any niche, no need to be food related.
Reblogged this on Die Erste Eslarner Zeitung – Aus und über Eslarn, sowie die bayerisch-tschechische Region!.
I have a love/hate relationship with this post – I’ve been successfully avoiding desserts and sweets to drop a few winter pounds before spring arrives. So many good-looking recipes here that my chocolate tooth is now screaming!! 🙂 Jumped over from Dolly’s post, btw [koolkosherkitchen].

Hi Madelyn. Well how do I respond to this one note.
Firstly: Thanks for visiting and I will thank Dolly as well. A lovely bloggers friend and I just ♥ her blog and posts.
Secondly: Sorry for the ‘hate’ portion but glad you also love this post. Thirdly: I totally understand as I am totally off sugar now for nearly three weeks, due to GP orders, so I know how you feel.
Hope you find other more ‘healthy’ dishes and treats here to enjoy.
Thanks again for dropping in and checking out my blog and what’s cooking in our kitchens around the world.
Didn’t mean to offend with my sense of humor – my apologies.
What is it they say — a cat can look at a king?! Here’s to feasting with the eyes alone (which I hope you understood that I enjoyed).
Do you get many GF entries in the desserts category? Many of these I’ve looked at (even Dolly’s) I can’t eat unless I adapt — which you may know doesn’t always work successfully, so we time-challenged folk tend to want to make only the ones already known to work GF – especially with desserts.
But I’m sure there are many happy bakers with chocolate smiles who looooved every single recipe.
I am not offended at all. Sorry if It came across that way.
I totally understand as I am also struggling with gluten.
Yes we do have GF recipes.
I will be posting mostly GF in future
Whew! Thanks for responding.
GF recipes coming up is WONDERFUL news for me. Many of Dolly’s are as well, just not the chocolate cake I’d hoped to try).
The fewer ingredients (esp. “unusual” ones) the better my shot at actually trying them out, so those will be my favorites. Most days I relate best to Alice’s White Rabbit.
I have avoided gluten prophylactically since attending Dr. Thom O’Bryan’s first Gluten Summit many years ago. If you are unaware of him, I’ll be linking in an article or several I will be posting in May for Celiac Awareness month (I do a monthly awareness calendar for Mental Health overlaps and try to post info on at least one of them as well – this month is Brain Injury Awareness).
Turns out that gluten negatively affects the brain as much or more than the gut in a great many folks.
WOW – thanks for this useful information. As I am off sugar for the last 2½+ weeks, I am also off any flour products. I had some rusks this afternoon (it does have flour and oats bran) and for sure it negatively affected me, and I have finally decided that’s it. It’s not a good feeling I experienced today and previuosly, and I will now also be looking for more GF recipes. I have already pinned many GF recipes, and will be testing them from now forthwirth and tag them accordingly when posting, so you should see more on the blog in future. All of the recipes under Es’s for the past 2½ weeks, mainly main meals = GF.
Once you do your post as mentioned above, please link to me if you remember. That will be awesome, thanks in advance.
Will do my best – if I don’t, leave a link to one of your favorite easy GF recipes in the comments and I’ll move it up into the article. I am, after all, the ADD Poster Girl, so sometimes things fall right through the holes of my steel sieve of a brain. lol
Thanks, Madelyne. I do appreciate it yoru assistance, and I fully understand. If you have any GF recipes to contribute, please check out my monthly recipe exchange program @ https://cookandenjoyrecipes.wordpress.com/2016/11/19/welcome-to-the-new-monthly-sharing-is-caring-recipe-exchange/ as the new theme will be launched on the 1st of each month.
Thanks and take care my new Blogger friend ♥
lol – I doubt any of mine would be be anything anybody else might want. 🙂
I frequently use or adapt from GlutenFreeOnaShoestring dot com – if you aren’t already aware of Nicole Hunn, almost any of hers would be a great addition to your exchange.
I learned SO much from her when I first went GF, and bought all her cookbooks to make sure I kept her with me.
Thanks so much for the link. I will check it out. Do not belittle yourself, please share whatever you already made over the years. You can email it to me at co**********@sh**.ca then I can try it out as well and will credit you for it on the blog. That will be mighty awesome if you see your way open to do it. Thanks in advance for considering. ♥
Thanks for the encouragement, but I’m not being modest – stating facts. I was once considered quite a good cook and still cook my own meals, but I eat very simply most days anymore – reminders of my grad school days, with healthier ingredients & choices: soups, omelets, frittatas, beans & rice, baked or poached chicken or fish, baked potatoes, etc. Most cooks know how to makes that stuff already, and sending a “recipe” would be coals to Newcastle, I’m sure.
Anything really yummie came from my mother’s recipe box or the cookbook that she died before publishing: Frankly Fattening. Even I don’t use those anymore – lol.
Thanks for the invite – if I run across anything elegant or special I’ll take you up on it (but don’t hold your breath). 🙂
I understand what you say, but I am not looking for any fancy and elegant dishes. I am looking for the good and healthy GF dishes.
Thanks anyway. God bless and take care.
Check out that link. Nicolle is incredibly generous with information AND recipes (even many from her cookbooks). I don’t know her personally, but it sure seems like she’d be happy to share with a link back.
Thanks found her and will check it out.
Good night, time for 💤💤💤💤

I use to share at Twitter, when I find great posts, but saw that you are not allowing this. It could give your blog much more attention, I say this by experience.
Irene – I do not have an account, but as you’re the second blogger to mention it, I will look into this and try to set up an account as soon as possible then I will revert back to you. Thanks for the help. ♥
You are welcome and even without an account for yourself, you can create more traffic to your blog.
So you mean I can just add the twitter app and you will share without me having an account? If so then I will do it immediately. Thanks for this very useful info, I thought I needed an account myself.
No, you don’t need an account to share, but if don’t have one, people will only see, it is WordPress, who are sharing this, which is misleading.
If you open an account and link this account to your blog, remember to write your Twitter account there too, then you do also share all your posts, when you blog and other people can also see, who is sharing, so the name will be shown up in same time.
Perfect thank you I will have to run now, but will open up an account tonight, you’re a super star, thank you thank you thank you
You are so welcome, enjoy your day.
