Melanie’s Kassler, Mash and Beans

I felt like a no fuss easy mid-week meal. I can also eat Kassler steaks any day of the week. That was us sorted. Made some creamy mash, dressed up a can of mixed 4 beans and WOW I should make a visible note of this impromptu meal.
Ingredients
4-6 smoked Kassler chops
4 tblsp butter
2 tblsp olive oil
1 tsp black pepper
Method:
Rub the black pepper into the steak.
eat a cast iron griddle pan.
Melt half the butter and olive oil and fry the steaks in batches till done.

Mash Potato
Ingredients:
4 potatoes
1 chicken stock pot
½ tsp baking powder
1 tblsp white onion soup powder
¼ tsp garlic herb powder
¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 tblsp butter
1 tblsp cream cheese
milk

Method:
Peel and wash 4 potatoes and quarter.
Add to a pot of cold water with stock pot
When fork tender drain. With an electric hand mixer start mixing potato while still hot till crumbly.
Add baking powder, white onion soup powder, pepper and butter and mix until smooth.
Add milk until desired consistency reached.
Garish with chopped parsley.

4 Bean Salad
Ingredients:
1 can of mixed 4 beans
1 small red onion slivered
1 green chili sliced into rings
2 tblsp balsamic vinegar
1 tblsp olive oil
1 tsp brown sugar
¼ tsp cajun spice

Method:
Drain beans add to a bowl.
Add remaining ingredients and give a good stir.
Adjust seasoning to preference
