Description

This is more of a decoration tip than a recipe. Use your favorite cupcake recipe, then turn them into mermaid tails.

Ingredients

  • Icing and a piping bag
  • Waffle Cones
  • Tail-shape cut-outs on a colorful cardboard
  • Glitter glue
  • Hot glue gun
  • Toothpicks

Instructions

Cut out tail shapes in different colors of cardboard.

Outline with glitter glue and draw on lines for tail fin decoration.

Glue each tail onto a toothpick with a hot glue gun and let dry.

Poke a hole at the end of each cone or cut the end down slightly until there’s an opening visible.

Stick the toothpick through the hole to make a tail.

Use a piping bag to make a nice thick icing layer, especially around the outer border of each cupcake.

Turn the cone upside down and place one onto each cupcake.

Decorate further if desired – sprinkles would be cute.

I left it as is since it accompanied a colorful cake.

Notes

This is more of a decoration tip than a recipe.

Use your favorite cupcake recipe, then turn them into mermaid tails for a birthday party! Any little girl will ♥ it.
