Description
This Microwave Milk Tart with condensed milk is ready in under 20 minutes. Old school flavor without the wait.
Ingredients
- 385 g (1 can) condensed milk
- 1 can full cream milk (use the condensed milk tin to measure)
- 2 cans hot water (same tin for measuring)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 large eggs
- 6 tbsp corn-starch (Maizena), sifted
- Pinch of salt
- 200 g Tennis or Marie biscuits
- Ground cinnamon, to finish
Instructions
- In a large microwave-safe mixing bowl, whisk condensed milk, milk, hot water, butter, eggs, cornstarch, and salt until lump-free.
- Microwave on HIGH for 7 minutes. Remove, whisk well.
- Microwave another 5 minutes. Remove, whisk again.
- Microwave for 3 more minutes. Whisk until silky smooth.
- Arrange biscuits in a single layer in a deep dish (line neatly for even layers).
- Pour hot custard filling over the biscuits. Smooth the top.
- Sprinkle generously with cinnamon.
- Let it cool for 30 minutes, then refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving
