Add spicy steak and potato filling and you will enjoy this mini full cream maas shawarmas
500 g steak
2 green chilies
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp oil
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp garlic paste
2 tsp ginger
½ tsp crushed jeera
2 teaspoon curry masala
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 tsp salt
4 Tbsp dhania (coriander)
2 grated Tomatoes
2 small cubed potatoes
Cube steak and cook in oil with spices until soft.
Finely chop the onion, add to the steak add cubed potatoes and simmer until transparent.
Lastly, add the grated tomato & chopped dhania and stir.
Allowing filling to cool.
Mini pizza base/ and mini Shawarmas or pitas
250g self-raising flour
80g butter OR Stork Bake
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp dried parsley
1½ cup full cream Sonendal Maas OR
1½ cup Double Cream (medium fat) plain yogurt OR full cream plain yogurt
Rub the butter into dry ingredients and form a dough with yogurt.
Roll out into 5mm thickness and cut out into rounds with a scone cutter.
Place on a greased baking sheet and bake in 180C preheated oven for 10 minutes or 12 minutes.
Remove from heat and when cool put pizza filling of choice.
You can add chopped lettuce to steak filling too.
