We have deer here too. About the only time I see them is during rutting season. And that’s after one jumps out in front of my moving car! One time, my husband was able to salvage a hind quarter leg. He made deer jerky. Took some to work. The guys liked it and asked for the recipe. I was then able to say, Not bad for roadkill! 😂
Seriously though, it would be a wonderful experience getting up close to such animals.

They are amazing, and we did get up close to them during our past vacation. Thanks for popping in. We did have two coming out of a ditch behind high brush, but as we only did about 30kpu, we were able to stop in time and let both cross the road without either.
So beautiful. Mother Nature has such wonderful creatures.

We have many mule deer in our area, too! They are beautiful creatures. It is hard to grow a garden in our area as they are also voracious eaters.
We saw these along the ride on our vacation. They kept on eating and grazing, so I can understand that you have issues with them in your garden. They are still gorgeous animals. Thanks for dropping in here Pat.
