Beef texan pattie topped with warm squash relish and homemade tamarind perinaise sauce.
Homemade gourmet burgers you can top anything on it. It all depends on your tantalizing taste buds.
Any roll of choice.
I used kitka rolls.
1 beef burger pattie of choice. Fry in a non-stick pan and allow to rest once done.
WARM SQUASH RELISH
2 baby onions peeled and sliced.
1 baby gem squash peeled and diced.
1 slice butternut peeled and cubed.
2 Tblsp mixed fresh diced peppers.
1 tsp fresh coriander.
1 tspn jeera seeds.
Salt and pepper to taste.
2 Tblsp diced carrots.
In a pot add 1 Tblsp butter. Add the onion and jeera seeds (cumin). Allow to brown in colour. Add the baby gem squash, butternut and carrots. Allow to cook. No water is needed.
Once done. Add the salt and pepper and mixed peppers.
Add to the mix 2 Tblsp chopped spinach and the fresh coriander.
Place the cut roll on a plate.
Top with mayonnaise. Then lettuce, then the fresh warm pattie.
Top with the warm squash relish and add the home-made tamarind perinaise sauce .
Serve as is and enjoy.
