Description
Every bite of a Peppermint Crisp or Mint Aero Tart feels like an explosion of flavor. These treats have been a favorite for decades, bringing joy to anyone lucky enough to taste them.
Ingredients
- 1 liter (4 cups) cold heavy cream
- 720 g (2 cans) Dulce de Leche or Nestle caramel treat
- 196 g (4 x 49g) Nestle Peppermint Crisp chocolates or Mint Aero bars (or any other mint-flavored chocolate)
- 400g (2 x 200g) Tennis biscuits or any coconut-flavored biscuits
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until soft peaks form. Be careful not to over-whip.
- If you’d like a smoother consistency, soften the Dulce de Leche in a small bowl before adding it to the whipped cream. Alternatively, add it directly to the cream and whisk until mostly incorporated. It’s okay to have small caramel lumps; avoid over-whipping.
- Dice half of the mint chocolate into fine pieces and gently fold it into the caramel-cream mixture. Reserve the remaining chocolate for topping.
- Spread a thin layer of the caramel-chocolate cream on the base of your serving dish.
- Arrange a single layer of coconut biscuits on top of the cream.
- Spread half of the remaining caramel chocolate cream evenly over the biscuits.
- Add another layer of biscuits, then cover with the remaining caramel chocolate cream.
- Sprinkle the reserved chopped mint chocolate evenly over the top.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight, or until the biscuits have softened and melded with the cream mixture.
