Plum Tart Tried Tested

For the shortcrust pastry
2 cups of plain / cake flour
125 gram butter / baking margarine
3/4 cup of sugar
1 large egg beaten
Little milk

Method
Crumb the butter with the flour
Add the sugar
Mix the egg with the dough add little milk to make in a soft dough
If dough is too soft add a little more flour.
Let dough stand for at least 30 minutes
Roll out pastry 5 mm thick and place in tart dish
Preheat the oven 220 degrees
Spread base with 1 TBSP of golden syrup
Slice the plums in thin slices and arrange on top of golden syrup leaving a 1cm border
Sprinkle with 1 TBSP of brown sugar
And 1/2 tsp of fine cinnamon
Bake for 15 minutes
