Ingredients:
20-26 caramels
1/4 cup double cream
1 cup chocolate chips( I used a mixture of milk and white)
Coating
3/4 – 1 slab chocolate (I used baking chocolate)
1 tsp shortening(I used vegetable shortening)
Method:
Microwave the caramels, cream and chocolate chips until melted
Place in a pan lined with cling film.
Pour melted mixture into lined pan and allow to set (I did this overnight)
Cut the set mixture into long strips and then into small pieces and shape into rectangles or rounds
Allow to set in fridge
Melt coating ingredients in microwave and dip shaped caramels into it.
Allow to firm up before storing the sweets.
